Report content or send a legal notice

Last updated August 4, 2026

The Bangla version of this page is the authoritative one. The English is a translation for convenience; where the two differ, the Bangla governs.

Use this page if you believe content published here is unlawful, or if a court, a regulator, or a law-enforcement authority requires us to act. You do not need an account and you do not need a lawyer to write to us.

There may be a faster route

If you run the business being reviewed, replying publicly is faster and is read by everyone who reads the review. If the review breaks our content rules, disputing it from your dashboard puts it in front of our staff without any of the formality below. If your complaint is about a delivery, a refund, or a warranty, the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection is the government office that handles those, and we will point you there.

The content stays published while we look at it

This is the most important thing on this page. Sending a notice does not hide anything. The content stays up while a person examines it, and it comes down only if a takedown obligation actually applies. A process where an accusation alone removes criticism would be a process for silencing customers, and we will not run one.

What happens after you send it

  1. We record your notice and show you a reference. Quote it if you write to us again.
  2. A member of our staff reads it. Nothing is automated — no software decides whether content comes down.
  3. If your notice concerns a specific review, a staff member opens a formal record against that review, filed as a legal or regulatory demand. The person who wrote the review is told that a demand has been made and can respond in the same thread.
  4. A staff member decides: either the review stays, or we have a genuine obligation to remove it and it comes down through the same recorded process every other removal goes through.
  5. The person who wrote the review, and the business it is about, can each appeal that decision once. A different member of staff decides the appeal — the person who made the first decision is barred from deciding its appeal. You cannot appeal from this page: a notice is sent without an account, so we have nothing to attach an appeal of yours to. If you believe the decision is wrong, write to us again quoting your reference, or take the matter to a court or to the authority that has jurisdiction over it.

How long it takes

We aim to decide within 5 business days of receiving your notice, and to decide an appeal within a further 5 business days. These are the same targets we already show businesses and reviewers inside the product. They are targets we work to, not guarantees.

What to tell us

We need enough to find the content and to understand what you say is wrong with it: who you are and in what capacity you are writing, an address we can reply to, which review or page you mean, the legal basis you are relying on, and what you say is unlawful about it. Send us any reference number a court or an office has given you.

What we will not do

We will not decide whether a statement about you is defamatory or otherwise unlawful — that is for a court, and we are neither a court nor a law firm. We will not remove a review simply because it is unflattering, and we will not tell you who wrote a review. Nothing on this page is legal advice.

Court orders and orders from an authority

If you hold a court order or a lawful order from a competent authority that requires content to be removed, send it and say so. We will follow a lawful order, we will record that we did, and the removal will be counted in our transparency report like any other.

What we record about you

We store what you type, including your name and contact details, and the network address you sent it from. We keep the address because a takedown demand is a legal assertion against a named person, and a false or abusive demand is itself a serious matter. Your notice is visible only to the staff who handle takedowns.

Send this in good faith

Before you submit, you confirm that what you have told us is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Deliberately false takedown demands waste the time of people who handle real ones and can carry consequences of their own.

Send a notice

Every field marked required must be filled in. Write in Bangla or English — both are read.

How to reach us

Brandsof.bd is not a law firm and gives no legal advice. These pages describe what our software does and what we commit to doing. They do not tell you what the law says about your situation. For that, speak to a Bangladeshi lawyer.

What we do not decide

We do not decide whether something someone wrote about you is true, defamatory, or unlawful. Only a court can decide that. What we do is receive what you send us, record it, put it in front of a person, tell the other side, decide whether our own rules or a legal obligation require us to remove the content, and keep a record of what we decided and why.
