Terms of service

Brandsof.bd is a public directory of businesses in Bangladesh where customers publish reviews of their own experiences and businesses can reply. We are not a party to anything you buy, sell, or arrange with a business you find here. We do not sell the goods or services listed, we do not take payment for them, and we do not guarantee that a business will do what it says.

You sign in with your mobile number. You are responsible for what is published from your account. Do not create an account for someone else, do not run several accounts to make one opinion look like many, and do not sign in on behalf of a business you are not authorised to represent.

A review must describe something that actually happened to you. Write about your own experience with that business — not what you heard, not a competitor's business, and not a dispute with a person who happens to work there. The content policy sets this out in full, and it is part of these terms.

Do not write, buy, sell, or arrange reviews in exchange for money, discounts, free goods, or any other benefit. This applies to businesses commissioning reviews and to people writing them.

You can claim your listing, correct its details, and reply publicly to any review. A reply is the fastest and usually the most effective answer to a review you disagree with — it is read by everyone who reads the review.

If you believe a review breaks our rules or is unlawful, you can dispute it. Opening a dispute does not hide the review: it stays published while a person looks at it, and it comes down only if a member of our staff finds a genuine reason to remove it. This is deliberate. A dispute button that removed reviews would be a mute button for criticism.

Some listings have paid features. Money never moves a business's score, never changes how much a review counts, never changes whether a review is published, never changes a moderation decision, and never changes where a business appears in search. This is enforced in our code and tested on every change, not merely promised here.

We may remove content that breaks the content policy, and we may remove content when a legal obligation requires it. Every removal is recorded and the author is told. Two decisions can each be appealed once: a hold our automated checks placed on content, and the decision that ends a formal dispute about a review. Where a member of staff removed content after a reader reported it, there is no appeal for the author to use — we have not built one, and we would rather say that than describe a route that does not exist. We have no way to suspend or close an account for breaking the rules: what we act on here is a piece of content, never a person's account.

We decide whether content breaks our own published rules, and whether we are obliged to remove it. We do not decide who is right in a dispute between a customer and a business, and we do not decide whether a statement is defamatory or otherwise unlawful. If your complaint is about a delivery, a refund, or a warranty, the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection handles those, and we will point you there rather than pretending to settle it ourselves.

We work to keep the platform accurate and available, but we provide it as it is. Reviews are the opinions and recollections of the people who wrote them. A score is a summary of those reviews, not a verdict on a business.

These terms are governed by the law of Bangladesh, and disputes about them belong to the courts of Bangladesh.

We may update these terms. When we change something that affects what you may publish or how your content is handled, the change is shown on this page with the date it took effect.
